New Poker Mag Gets Ready for Release
Come July, beginner and intermediate poker enthusiasts will get a new general interest poker magazine. "Poker Pro," the new 80-page publication, will get off the ground with an initial circulation of 50,000 copies, to be available at bookstores and airports across the U.S. and Canada. Although for the remainder of 2005, the magazine will be released on a bimonthly basis, it will benefit from monthly distribution, starting in 2006. Poker Pro will cover major tournaments on the poker circuit, as well as offering pointers on improving poker skills and strategy. On the lighter side, the poker glossy will also profile Hollywood poker players, in addition to featuring lifestyle articles. The first issue features Doyle Brunson on the cover. Brunson is one of the best known and longest playing poker pros around today.
