Blake Bohn leads Day 2s 150-player field in chip counts - 2014 WPT Borgata Poker Open
They were 606 players to survive from the two starting days of the World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open. They all returned to the prestigious poker room of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Atlantic City, on Tuesday for Day 2 battle. After eight levels of play, the field was reduced to150 players. Actually, 30 of them will be sent to the rail empty-handed on Day 3 which is scheduled on Wednesday September 17. Blake Bohn bagged over 150,000 chips higher than that of his nearest rival at the start of Day 2. Heading to Day 3, Blake Bohn is armed with 807,500 chips while Qartomy Ray finds himself in second place of the chip counts with 623,000 chips.
Justin Zaki, Mukul Pahuja, Erik Cajelais, Ryan Riess, Daniel Weinman and defending champion Anthony Zinno also head for Day 3 with impressive stacks. With more than 400,000 chips in hands, they are all well placed compared to other players such as Dan Shak, Jamie Kerstetter, Eddy Sabat, Zo Karim, Dan O'Brien and Malik Rose. The latter own a reasonable number of chips, and still have a great chance to secure comfortable places at the end of Day 3 poker battle. Some poker stars begin Day 3 with short stacks compared to players mentioned above. This is the case of Thomas Russell, Mike Sexton, Jared Hamby and Ebony Kenney. As for Matt Stout, Melissa Burr, Loni Harwood, Richard Seymour, Matt Waxman, Joe Kuether, Kara Scott, Keven Stammen, Mike Leah, Shaun Deeb and Carlos Mortensen, they are prematurely eliminated from the tournament.
