Scott Seiver leads the 2015 POY race, Ole Schemion atop the GPI rankings - GPI

As usual, an update of the Player of the Year rankings along with the top 300 tournament poker players in the world is released by the Global Poker Index (GPI) every week. This week, the GPI Top 300 has undergone some up-and-down movements. While Germany’s Ole Schemion secures the lead for seventh straight week, Scott Seiver has won 6 spots to 2nd. Eventually, he has relegated Daniel Negreanu to 11th. Making up the Top 10 are Pratyush Buddiga (3rd), Bryn Kenney(4th), Jason Mercier(5th), Davidi Kitai(6th), Ami Barer(7th), Stephen Chidwick(8th), Dan Smith(9th) and Jonathan Duhamel(10th).

Speaking of the 2015 GPI Player of the Year ranking, Scott Seiver cruises to No.1 following his excellent performance at the 2015 Aussie Millions. Indeed, Scott Seiver has final-tabled two great poker tournaments, namely the $ 100,000 Challenge (3rd) and the $ 250,000 Challenge (4th). Ramin Hajiyev is ranked 2nd in the POY race, followed by Jonathan Karamalikis, Trevallion Alexander, Thomas Muehloecker, Atanas Kavrakov, Joe Kuether, Bryn Kenney and Nicholas Petrangelo. Pratyush Buddiga completes the Top 10. Thanks to his $ 25,000 buy-in Challenge first-place finish, “Alexander Trevallion” is listed 4th this week. As for Phil Ivey, he is ranked 27th on the 2015 GPI POY following his victory in the $ 250,000 Challenge. By grabbing 363 spots to No.163 (on GPI 300), Phil Ivey is part of the big movers this week.
