Jonathan Dimmig emerges victorious of the Millionaire Maker event - WSOP
The World Series Of Poker 2014 has just had its first millionaire. While all attention was drawn to Stephen Graner and his impressive stack in the final table, surprisingly, it was Jonathan Dimmig who finally grab the title by winning the $ 1,500 Millionaire Maker. Dimmig left the poker room of Rio Las Vegas with a prize of $ 1.3 million, a real feat for a simple poker player who has never made a name of him in such major circuits. At the beginning of the tournament, Dimming did simply want to take part and finish in the paid seats. But the situation had changed, and his objective too. In fact, he climbed to chipleader on Day 3; that enabled him to qualify for the final table since he ranked 5th in terms of stack.
Maurice Hawkins was the first player to head for the door. He was eliminated but won $ 128,150 for his 19th position. Four hands later, Andrew Dick (8th) followed him with $ 164,118 of win. The short stack Jason Johnson was the next eliminated player. His 7th position provided him a win of $ 211,394. With a stack of three times higher than that of his rivals, Stephen Graner was eliminated in the 6th place. The chiplead slipped away from Graners grasp since the third hand of the play; instead, he took home $ 273,854. After three hours of a five-a-side play, Bradley Anderson fell to the 5th position for $ 355,913. Andrew Teng and James Ducke were respectively eliminated in the fourth ($ 614,368) and the third place ($ 465,972). As for Jeffrey Coburn, he finished second although he had led the game with 26,100,000 chips against 9,800,000 at the start of the Heads-up. Coburn settled with $ 815,963, and left the bracelet with a prize of $ 1,319,587 to Jonathan Dimmig.
