WPT Legends of Poker: First televised events of the Season XII
As already announced, the Season XII of the World Poker Tour will start in next August 16th, during the WPT Cyprus. This inaugurating step of the new season will take place at Merit Crystal Cove casino. For this Season XII, the organizers have brought novelties for the greatest benefit of spectators. In fact, the circuit will benefit from five televised events and the first will be the one of Los Angeles at Bicycle Casino Bell Gardens. The WPT Legends of Poker will be the first to be broadcasted, with its Main Event which, since its launch in 2002, gathered legends of poker. Among the winners of this inescapable step of the World Poker Tour circuit, we find the living legend of poker, Doyle Brunson, and also Dan Harrington, Andy Frankenberger and Will Failla. The WPT Legends of Poker will be held from August 29th to September 4th, whose Main Event will be accessible for a buy-in of $3,700.
After the Main Event, cameras will be turned to the WPT Foundation Ladies Night Invitational. Poker tournament on invitation, the Ladies Event is going to offer a package of $25,000 for the WPT World Championship 2014. At the end of this event, the WPT Foundation will offer a donation of $20,000 to the six prestigious charity organizations chaired by women. The WPT Foundation Ladies Night Invitational will receive among others, talented players of the circuit, such as Kimberly Lansing, Vanessa Rousso, Liz Lieu, Jessica Dawley and Lily Killetto. After the WPT Legends of Poker, the Season XII will benefit from four other televised events: Borgata Poker Open, Grand Prix de Paris, WPT Montréal and the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic.
