WPT Celebrity Invitational: Chess players in good position for the final

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Celebrity Invitational brought together some 500 American celebrities in the world of show biz and some stars of poker. The goal of this tournament was to invite these celebrities to play poker for a good cause because by, winning the title, they will let to a charity of their choice to receive considerable financial assistance amounting $ 200,000. The poker room of the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles hosted this wonderful event and after two days of competition, the 6 players who acceeded to the final table stood out.



Holder of the largest stack at the final, Damon Schramm is the chip leader in the final. But the pro player David Kitai is not very far because he is in second position with 845,000 chips in hand. In general, chess players had also a lot of talent to play poker because they are two to qualify for the final table who are Almira Skripchenko and Dinara Khaziyev, placed respectively at the 3rd and 5th position. Dan Heimiller and George Rechnitzer will be also present at the final of the WPT Celebrity Invitational. Note that the winner will receive $ 74,500 and a ticket of $ 25,000 to the WPT Championship at Bellagio. The rewards for the other 5 finalists will be $ 50,000 for the runner-up, $ 20,000 for 3rd, $ 15,000 for the 4th, $ 10,000 for the 5th and for $ 5,000 for the 6th. Antonio Esfandiari and Barry Greenstein are part of the eliminated players.
