Like you actually SAID anything. Anyway, did ya'll notice that in the ep of Veronica Mars with the poker game, they were playing Texas hold'em. I swear it's like no one plays 5 card draw anymore.

still, my fave version of poker is strip poker.

raises after you call.
If I call, and the person after me raises, when do I call that raise?
(if it makes any difference, assume a limit game w/ 3 raise max per round.)

Hate to be really vague, but it really depends on what you are holding in your hand, how big the pot and your stack is, and how big the blinds are.

Look at the raise as a percentage of your money, and how many people are between you and the raiser (for anyone who is playing coy and is planning on reraising).  If the raise is fairly small for your stack, and there are not many people who can reraise after you put out the money, you could just call it and get to the flop.  Just make sure that you have some cards that can do something once you get to the flop.  If you have something like a 5-7, I would probably fold and just get the next hand.

Ugh. I asked all wrong. I was asking "assuming I want to call, when does that happen?"

but I think I got it straightened out. If I check and then someone raises, the bets keep going around the table until they get to me again before i decide whether to call/raise/fold.
