I have been hooked on poker for about 6 months now and have tried to improve as i go. When I started out i would be very conservative and wait for that perfect hand. About 1 month ago I started to try and play more aggressively. I have tried to do this by seeing as many flops as I can. For an example if i am dealt a pair, or 2 suited cards or even 2 connectors ( J,10) i would stay in to see the flop if the betting wasn't too high. This worked very well in the beginning however lately i have been in a bit of a slump and find myself almost " chasing" cards. I have also read on this site that seeing a lot of flops is not a good idea as it shows that you are a beginner player. I have recently started to wrap my brain around table position but now too many things are running thrugh my head when i decide to play anything. What do you people think? and How do you prefer to play? Thanks! |
