Prop bet: Jason Mercier, a bet at $100,000 for a year 2014 without alcohol
Since a few years, prop betting became common with the community of pros of poker. And the latest is that of Jason Mercier, a bet at $100,000 for a year without alcohol! For this New Year, the resolution comes from Jason Mercier, when he proposed a bet for a 2014 without alcohol on Twitter. For a minimum stake settled at $100,000, the bet aroused the curiosity of some players and leading figures of poker, even if numerous persons remain perplexed. In fact, players such as Mike McDonald, Brett Richey and Andrew Chen showed an interest on the prop bet of the American, by wanting to know the terms of the bet.
McDonald asked about the frequency of his consumption of alcohol, while Richey wanted to know the rates of the bet. For his part, Shaun Deeb launched an ironic joke on the bet, by admitting preferring a bet on the one who will drink the most quantity of alcohol. Only the actress and poker player Tiffany Michelle seemed to be the most interested by the bet of the double holder of WSOP bracelets, by implying a discussion on various details, during the poker tournament PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2014. Jason Mercier is not the first professional player to launch a prop bet on the consumption of alcohol. In last summer, the legendary Phil Ivey decided to stop drinking, by the occasion of a bet whose duration and the amount havent been specified, while some persons speculated on an amount near $10 million.
