Poker Hall of Fame: Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson qualified
The naming of a few players and personalities in the poker world for the Poker Hall of Fame is published annually in before the World Series of Poker (WSOP). This year, they were 10 to be selected. Finally, it's Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson who will be admitted in this very select circle. Owner of three WSOP bracelets and two World Poker Tour trophy, Greenstein is also known by the public through his participation in televised tournaments cash game. Called "Robin Hood of Poker", Greenstein is also famous for his great generosity. He effectively gave all of his tournament winnings, about $ 7.5 million for charities. And finally, this professional of poker released the famous book Ace On The River. Moreover, he dedicated this book to all players who managed to eliminate him in the gaming tables.
Barry Greenstein has richly deserved his qualification as he meets all the criteria imposed. As for Linda Johnson, her contribution in the development of poker in general earned her this prestigious title. Indeed, besides of being the first woman to win a WSOP bracelet, Linda Johnson is also the owner of Card Player Magazine and author of three books. She will be the second woman admitted to the Poker Hall Of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 8 in Las Vegas before the moment that the members of the WSOP November Nine begin the final 2011.
