Epic Poker League: Its ethics creates controversy
The Epic Poker League is the appointment of the best poker players in the world. After the first Main Event held in August, the Palm Resort Casino in Las Vegas is currently receiving the second Main Event. This new appointment of the EPIC Poker League has already stirred controversy from players following the establishment of a new ethic of the league. The story began with that of David "Chino" Rheem, who won the first Main Event of the EPL, pocketing $ 1 million. But his outstanding debt affair create questions about the ethics of the Epic Poker League about players who join the league. Indeed, after the Rheem case, the Standards and Conduct Committee state that each player who participates in this new series should be as clean as possible. All players who lack ethics to poker and the league will be excluded from the tournament, announced this body in charge of the successful conduct of of the Epic Poker League events.
For the second stage this September, the ethics is still challenged by players with the disqualification of Michael Divita following offenses and attempted rape in 1991 and 2008. The league repaid the $ 1,500 buy-in of the player regardless of the gains that he can pocket during the Pro/AM satellite tournaments to qualify for the Main Event. Divita has a lawsuit against the Epic Poker League and the Federated Sports for violation of civil law if its due of $ 18,500 is not returned before this Friday, September 23. The case is to follow !
