IPO 2010: Dublin honored by his native John Gray
The International Poker Open 2010 took place on the last weekend in the capital of Ireland, Dublin. A tournament of three days from October 15 to 17 who saw the well-deserved coronation of the local player John Gray. A field composed of 1,293 players, amateurs and professionals had been present at this poker event. Besides the title, the winner was entitled of a sum of 50,600 as promised. Among the big names in the discipline who were involved in the starting of this meeting of the International Poker Open, Dublin 2010, there was Marty Smyth, Neil Channing, Surinder Sunar, Liam Flood, Paul Marrow, Andy Black, " Mad "Marty Wilson, Jessie May and Padraig Parkinson.
121 competitors were qualified for the Day 2 and the final table that little by little designated the presence of 9 finalists players lasted some 9 hours and 21 minutes. It was only after a fiercely contested battle that the victory went to the young Irishman John Gray who faced his compatriot Eddie Landy during the final duel. The new champion of 28 years was even surprised of his course and his coronation that he almost didn't thought. Regarding the organization of the IPO 2010, Lisa Condon noted the success and the popularity of the tournament thanks to the active participation of many amateurs and professionals. The organizing team already give appointment to poker enthusiasts for next year. The final result of the IPO Dublin 2010 was as follows: 1st John Gray with 50,600, 2nd Eddie Landy ( 33,683), 3rd Aidan Connolly ( 23,538), Gavin Flynn fourth ( 17,735), 5th Vincent Cosgrave ( 13,944), Conor Reddy 6th with 11,416 , 7th Craig Borrer wining 9,395, 8th Leon Pascal with 7,057 and Daniel Ward was at the 9th place with 4,618.
