Charity poker : Helping of schools in India from poker community
For ten years now, the association created by Marie-Line Davène, Vivre son enfance (Living his childhood), helps children who have difficulty to go to school in India. This year, to reach its goal to build four additional classrooms, this philanthropist is organizing a small charity poker tournament. Her association has its headquarters in Pau, France and sponsors already sixty little Indians. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the founder decided to launch the challenge to build four new classrooms. The association is trying as best it can to fulfill the maximum needs of these young pupils. In collaboration with the sisters of the congregation, Marie-Line Davène has purchased three cows and three calves last year to supply milk to children in each school it sponsors. On average, the association dedicated annually 3,000 for the assistance it gives to these schools.
As the Association receives no public subsidy and that it needs 25,000 in order to achieve the realization of its project, a poker game will be set up next Saturday, June 19th from 10 : 00 a.m in the ballroom of Abère. A free tournament where players should register by mail at paukerevent@gmail.com . A buffet of 40 fee that participants must pay by check to the treasury of the association will be part of the aid to children. But donations from caring individuals are also accepted by the association. Many interesting lots will be offered to winners, like LCD TV or a trip to Marrakesh.
