European Poker Tour: A prize pool of $ 56 million during the Season 6
The European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 6 is well and truly over. This was an issue more than successful and indeed the results posted by the organizers provide irrefutable proof of this unprecedented success. This result also demonstrates the very eloquent passion of players for this wonderful tournament. To quote only the review of the Main Events, the many stages of the tournaments of this season have gathered 8,912 players generating a total prize pool of 56,672,284 Euro, while during the previous season, 7,901 participants were registered, and the prize pool generated for this opportunity was a total of 52,273,024 Euro. Moreover, many poker enthusiasts were scrambling to take part in online qualifiers in this sixth edition. 2,133 players have managed to qualify, they numbered 1,873 during the season 5. Using this quick count, the poker community can already see the success of the event even the organizers had set additional tests.
But the step that has greatly influenced this edition of the EPT is San Remo, which brought together 1,240 players. It must be said therefore that the EPT throne among the most famous major tournament in Europe although during the grand final, many participants were unable to attend. The weak field during this final can also be explained by the reduction in flights due to problems caused by the fumes of the famous Icelandic volcano. The crazy of poker so eagerly await the launch of season 7 and they can be confident that this next edition will be at least as fascinating.
