WSOP Africa: Scotty Nguyen nominated ambassador to promote it

For the second time, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will have a stage on the African continent, in South Africa specifically. After a first stage less glorious, the tournament promises to be more attractive this year as the organizers decided to call a master of poker to fill the role of ambassador, a decision in order to promote the event. Scotty Nguyen was elected to do this, the world champion of poker in 1998 and owner of five WSOP bracelets. The player told be honored by this choice. Note that the organizers count on his talent and showmanship to enliven the public and ensure the success of the tournament.



The tournament is scheduled to take place from February 21 to 26 and the Emerald Resort & Casino is still the place that will host the event. Those who will join South Africa at the WSOP 2012 Africa will have the joy to play poker no-limit hold'em tournaments as many events highlighting this poker game are scheduled. They are open to a buy-in between $ 300 and $ 10,000 and six of them will allow players to win the gold ring. Note that the only tournaments that let win the gold bracelet are the Las Vegas WSOP and the WSOP Europe. Among the key events of the WSOP Africa 2012 are the main event of $ 3,300 and the $ 10,000 High Roller. Last year, the High Roller tournament brought together 188 participants and the local player Warren Zackey was crowned champion. For his victory, he received a prize of $ 22,477.
