Global Poker Index: Erik Seidel is back again at the first place

After the holding of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) tournament, the ranking of the Global Poker Index (GPI) registered a major change, the most important is the come back of Erik Seidel in the first place with 2,988.29 points. So he succeeded again to surpass Jason Mercier, who was relegated at the second place and Bertrand Grospellier is now ranked at the 3rd position. The player who also enjoyed great success during this week is Mike McDonald. He accessed in the top 10 of the GPI and close this famous list of the best poker players. For other members of this list, Shawn Buchanan, Matt Waxman and Emmanuel Failla won each a seat and are respectively in the 5th, 7th and 8th position. Sam Trickett lost one place and is now in the 6th position while Vanessa Selbst lost two places and finished 9th. As for Eugene Katchalov, he managed to maintain his position.



The world champion of poker 2010, Jonathan Duhamel, also made an excellent course this year, which enabled him to rise to the 11 th place of the GPI. Indeed, he demonstrated his talent for the game in the poker room of Atlantic Resort by participating in four final tables and winning a trophy of the PCA. For French players, besides the presence of Bertrand Grospellier in the top 10, Roger Hairabedian, Fabrice Soulier, Tristan Clémençon, Adrian Allain, Arnaud Mattern, Hugo Lemaire and David Benyamine defend well the color of the Hexagon by being in the top 100. At the opposite, some poker pros like Joe Hachem, Phil Laak, Allen Cunningham, Erik Lindgren or Ted Forrest left the ranking.
