WSOPC Choctaw: Kick-off of the Main Event

The first qualifying day of the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw (WSOPC) has already ended. With 647 players on Day 1A and 300 players on Day 1B, the event brought together a total of 947 participants. After more than 14 hours of action-packed play, there remained 498 survivors for the second day of competition. Ranked in the place of chipleader with a stack of 167,500 chips, Chris Tiller is well positioned for the rest of the competition. At the second position is La Sengphet, holder of 144,000 chips.



Some well known professional poker players as Gavin Smith, Ylon Schwartz and Todd Brunson experienced an early elimination. At the opposite side, James Van Aistyne, Men Nguyen, Tommy Vedes, Scotty Nguyen, Tom McEvoy, TJ Cloutier, Roland Israel, Dennis Phillips, Chad Brown, Layne Flack, Drazen Illich and Kattamuri Raja will be back in the poker room for Day 2. It is the same about the case of Huy Nguyen, the champion of last year, who participate also in the tournament to defend his title. Note that Raja Kattamuri showed a nice talent in Choctaw since the beginning of the tournament, he has already won two gold jewellery by picking up the trophy for the event 3, a No-Limit Hold'em of $ 555 buy-in and the event 5, a heads'Up No Limit Hold'em. He also accessed to the second place of the tournament Six Max No-Limit Hold'em of $ 345 and the 6 th place of the tournament Pot-Limit Omaha of $ 345.
