World Poker Tour Ireland: Coronation of David Shallow

The World Poker Tour Ireland 2012 ended with the victory of David Shallow at the final table of last Sunday, January 8. Normally, six finalists would participate in this final, but a double elimination was registered on Saturday. Thus, there were only five players in contention. Note that it was the champion who did this feat and this double elimination allowed him to propel in the place of chip leader with 6,115,000 chips in hand. After the exit of the French player Steven Moreau in the 6th place, the final began in the poker room. It must be said that the British player struggled to keep his advantage and finally win the title after having ousted Charles Chattha during the final duel. The latter pocketed the prize of runner up amounting $ 144,502.

With his victory, Shallow known as the "CrabMaki" in the world of online poker has also earned his place in the WPT World Championship accessible for a buy-in of $ 25,500 and wrote his name in the list of WPT champions. The fifth place in this televised final was won by Steve Watts, who pocketed simultaneously the sum of $ 40,465 while Patrik Veslin finished fourth with a reward of $ 51,063. Victim of an attack of David Shallow, Ronan Gilligan settled for the place of bronze and received a bonus of $ 96,339.
