The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2012 is well and effectively launched as the first event, the first day was held yesterday. The Super High Roller opened the series of tournament at the poker room of Atlantis Resort & Casino in the Bahamas with a field of 30 players. They have not beaten the record attendance of last year which was 38 participants, but spectators see there the arrival of the biggest names in poker in the world. The day of this poker meeting has seen the elimination of 12 players and to everyone's surprise, Eugene Katchalov was among those who say good bye to the next level. Thus, 18 players were qualified for Day 2 with Isaac Haxton as chipleader with a stack of 1.2 million chips. The other players are far behind ie Viktor Blom in second place with 875,000 chips, Erik Seidel (753,000), Jonathan Duhamel (729,000), Humberto Brenes (609,000), Mike McDonald (577,000), Jason Mercier (514,000), Chance Kornuth (444,000), Galen Hall (380,000), Scott Seiver (365,000), Daniel Negreanu (346,000), Sam Stein (344,000), Dan Shak (182,000), Yevgeniy Timoshenko (174,000), Will Molson (164,000), Tom Marchese (158,000), Bertrand Grospellier (112,000) and David Sands (47,000).
