EPT Season 8: The final will be back in Monte Carlo!

After a successful season, the organizers of the European Poker Tour (EPT) decided to bring some changes even to add improvement in the program of the EPT Season 8. Last week, the organizing committee said that further steps will be included in the program: the EPT Madrid (March 12 to 17), the EPT Campione (March 26 to 31) and the EPT Berlin (April 16 to 21). This week, new information should delight fans of cocktail party and live poker on the side of the Mediterranean and all around France. Indeed, the European Poker Tour Grand Final will be back this year in the city of luxury, Monte-Carlo. After a break in the Spanish capital, the final of the EPT will be played again in the poker room of the Bay Hotel & Resort in Monte Carlo. Note that the Principality of Monaco received this final for 6 years before the change in Madrid that does not really attract poker enthusiasts.

As a reminder, the EPT Grand Final in Madrid was won by Venezuela's native Ivan Freitas face to a field of 686 players. He won his Shamballa Jewels bracelet valued at € 22,000 and the prize of € 1,500,000. The runner up of the tournament was the German Torsten Brinkmann (€ 900,000) followed by the Hungarian Tamas Lendvai (€ 550,000). The Grand Final in Monte Carlo of this season 8 of the EPT is not yet fixed but we can still expect it to be played in May 2012, just a few days interval of the second edition of "The One", the big live poker tournament.
