WPT Prague: A new feat for Andrey Pateychuk

The World Poker Tour Prague (WPT), which brought together a field of 571 participants and generated a prize pool of € 1,753,200, finally ended and awarded the trophy to Andrey Pateychuk. Henceforth, this Russian player is one of the elite of poker as he currently has a WPT title and an European Poker Tour title that he won six months earlier during the passage of this tournament in the city of San Remo. So it's his second great achievement as a professional poker player then. If his victory at the EPT San Remo let him earn a superb win of € 680,000, this triumph in Prague allowed him to pocket a bonus of € 450,000. All that's missing for the Russian is a title of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) to let him hold the famous Triple Crown. Note that finished 15th at the WSOP 2011 main event.

In this first final table of the WPT Prague, the French community of poker hoped to bring in France the trophy thanks to the presence of Benjamin Pollack on the list, especially since the French player began the game as holder of the second largest stack. However, the French professional player was eliminated in the fourth place. In the sixth place was the Canadian Carsol Russell, in the 5th place the Norwegian Sigurd Eskeland, in the third spot the Ukrainian Stanislaw Kretz and the runner up was the player from Spain, Adria Balaguer. Note that the WPT Prague 2011 champion also won a place in the WPT World Championship of $ 25,000 to be held in the magnificent poker room of the Bellagio, in Las Vegas. After this stop in the Czech Republic, the WPT will visit the city of Venice from December 13.
