EPT Prague: A record crowd

If the World Poker Tour has already crowned its champion, the European Poker Tour (EPT) which is part of events organized during the Prague Poker Festival receives currently its second day of competition. The edition 2011 of the EPT Prague is currently recording a huge success. Indeed, the record of 2009 has just been beaten for a total of 722 participants recorded with 488 players registered on Day 1B. The prize pool gathered at the event amounts to € 3,501,700. And the champion will pocket a nice prize of € 775,000. Many of the representatives of France managed to qualify for the second day of competition as Philippe Rohr who holds 114,500 chips in hand, Nicolas Levi, Hugo Lemaire, Sebastien Boyard, Antonin Teisseire, Paul Pires-Trigo, Alain Roy, Basile Yaiche, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Yann Brosolo, Laurent Chabaud and Paul Testud.



As for foreign players, there is William Thorson's presence in the top 10. And many poker pros such as Liv Boeree, Martin Jacobson, Ville Wahlbeck, Vladimir Geshkenbein, Anton Wigg and Rupert Elder are also part of the Day 2 field. In the place of chipleader, there is the Russian Andrey Saenko with 200,800 chips. The Danish player who was among the finalists of the Partouche Poker Tour, Mads Wissing follows in second place with 178,300 chips in hand while the British Max Silver is in the 3rd position. These players will then compete and play poker on Day 2 which will consist of six levels of play for 75 minutes each.
