Big One for One Drop: Only 26 remaining places

Since a few months, fans of high stakes poker asked questions about the poker tournament with the greatest buy-in ever organized in the world: the Big One for One Drop, an event announced in June 2011. Characterized by a buy-in of $ 1 million, this No Limit Hold'em tournament created by Guy Laliberté will have as first mission to fund the One Drop NGO which works for access to drinking water for all. To this end, $ 111,111 from the buy-in of each player will go to One Drop. As part of the official program of the WSOP, the Big One will be held at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from July 1 to 3, 2012 during the 43rd WSOP to be held in Las Vegas. The tournament will run for three days and the winner will win a WSOP bracelet in platinum created especially for the occasion and $ 9 million as part of the prize pool of $ 20 million.



The Big One for One Drop is an event limited to a maximum of 48 players and at the present time, 22 places are already taken. Among the players registered for the tournament, there is the Cirque du Soleil founder and initiator of the tournament, Guy Laliberté and top players from around the world like Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Tony G, Bobby Baldwin, Patrik Antonius, Johnny Chan, Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, Phil Ruffin, Sean O'Connell, Andy Beal, Jonathan Duhamel, Daniel Shak and the three qualified from satellites of Loto-Québec, Caesars and Europe. Other players have already signed up for the event, but preferred to remain anonymous. For players who want to share the remaining 26 seats, the payment of the entry fee must be made 14 days before the tournament.
