Global Poker Index: Failla accesses to the Top 10

The global ranking of poker professionals knew a new change with many top players who won a few places due to the various tournaments that was played recently. The update of the Global Poker Index of November 17, in fact, reveals a new upheaval in the rankings. So, Erik Seidel is still leading the ranking of the 300 world's best players for a month with 2,586.96 points before Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Jason Mercier. The French is at the second place with 2,493.71 points while Eugene Katchalov (2,382.22) is now out of the podium and conceded the third place to Jason Mercier. The Top 10 ranking of the Global Poker Index is completed by the presence of Shawn Buchanan (2,331.45), Sorel Mizzi (2,180.96), Sam Stein (2,178.26), Fabrice Soulier (2,018.48), Matt Waxman (2,003.46) and Will "The Thrill "Failla (1,975.60).

Will Failla climbs into the Top 10 by taking the place of Scott Seiver with an impressive performance since last August : four final tables and champion of the WPT Legends of Poker. Other players also experienced a significant increase like David Williams, Mike McDonald, Christian Harder, Scott Baumstein, Mustapha Khan and Hafiz Kanit. And about French players, Adrien Allain, Jean Philippe Rohr, Arnaud Mattern, Marc Inizan, Jean Paul Pasqualini and Philippe Ktorza also registered a strong growth. Adrien Allain jumped 173 places and is now ranked at the 71st position thanks to his title at the WPT Amnéville 2011. Face to these increases, other players left the Global Poker Index: Kyle Bowker, Justin Smith, Heinz Kamutzki, Kyle Loman, Maurizio Sepede, Ray Henson, Jan Bendik, Chance Kornuth, Stephane Benadiba and Mark Radoja.
