WSOP Main Event: The 2011 title won by the German Pius Heinz

While the eyes of the Rio poker room's public riveted on favorites of the final table of the World Series of Poker 2011 (WSOP), on Ben Lamb, Eoghan O'Dea, Matt Gianetti or Phil Collins, the surprise was other because at the end of this historic championship, it's the German of 22 years Pius Heinz, who grabbed the trophy. The new world champion of poker is not yet known by the public especially as it is his first major performance in live tournaments. Indeed, he evolved in online poker tournaments and this victory with a huge gain is his first in live major events.

Sam Holden, Anton Makievskyi and Badih Bounhara finished respectively 9th, 8th and 7th. The final heads'up of this November Nine 2011 faced Pius Heinz and Martin Stazco. The Czech player dominated the game at the beginning but it was only on the 293 th hand that the German recover and regained the lead, which allowed him to clinch victory. His runner-up won $ 5,433,086.
