Winamax Poker Tour: Great success of the stage in Paris
The first Parisian stage of the series of tournament Winamax Poker Tour recorded an outstanding success. Indeed, 2,000 players came to participate in the inaugural stage and invaded the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, turned into a giant poker room for a weekend. This is the biggest poker event ever held in the Hexagon after the France Poker Tour held at the Carrousel du Louvre, which brought together 1,503 participants. Renowned players such as Patrick Bruel, Caroline Diament and Rémi Gaillard, as well as celebrities from show business like the actress Alice Taglioni were in the starting field. But there were also talented players who were qualified in online poker tournaments. This new poker circuit will consist of 69 qualifying events before the Grand Final to be held in April 2012, with a guaranteed prize of € 500,000.
After two days of fierce confrontation, the lucky 37 players who will play the final stood out. Johan Aubry, Alexis Bonnet, Jean-Paul Chirouze, Romain Clvier, Frédéric De Gélibert, Amaury Delavalade, Sandrine Djellal, Florian Ferjoux and Johan Gadre are in the top 10. Antonio Guerrero managed to qualify by winning the trophy of a side event. After this successful inaugural event, the tournament will stop in Rennes on November 19 and 20, before taking the route to Lille and then Marseilles. Note that qualifying satellite tournaments in online poker room are take place until March 12 for those wishing to participate in the main event of the different stages of the tournament.
