WPT Amneville: Launching of the edition 2011!
Until November 6, the department of Lorraine, in France, specifically the city of Amnéville will for the second consecutive year receive the World Poker Tour (WPT). If this world tour led by Matt Savage renewed confidence with this French stage, it's because the tournament was a great success last year and this new edition, among the step of the season X, will not certainly fail to please to poker enthusiasts around the Hexagon and the whole of Europe. As a reminder, there were indeed 542 players who were present at the main event of the edition 2010, which was a record attendance for this tournament if we consider the previous editions on the Old Continent. With this attendance, Sam El Sayed, the winner of the WPT Amnéville went back home last year with a huge gain of € 425,000.
This new edition 2011 of the WPT Amnéville that starts this November 1st will certainly register the same success, or even more. The defending champion has already confirmed his come back, but there will be several top players like Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Guillaume Darcourt, Nicolas Levi, Bruno Fitoussi, Tony G, Antony Lellouche, Nesrine Kourdourli ... This year, the tournament promises on the other hand many novelty as a poker room with a capacity of 400 players and one able to accommodate 200 players. Indeed, the organizers expect a crowd of nearly 600 players. A PLO4 Omaha tournament, cash game in the same variant and NLH will also be available there. On the other hand, the Eastern Cup will be held this year during 3 days.
