WSOPE: A bracelet for Michael Mizrachi and Philippe Boucher

The Event # 5, a No Limit Hold'em Split Format of € 10,400 which gathered 125 players had just crowned its champion in the person of Michael Mizrachi. This American poker player has thus gained his second bracelet with this victory in the poker room of the Casino Croisette of Cannes. His ascension to the throne was not at all easy because on his way, he clashed with top players such as Roger Hairabedian who finished third in this competition, Brian Hastings who ended up in the 9th place, Erik Seidel and Shawn Buchanan, his opponent in the final duel. With this new trophy, Mizrachi took home € 336,008, enough to embellish his account and climb to the 6th place in the world ranking of players with the largest gain of the All Time Money List.

Another event, the Six-handed Pot Limit Omaha of € 1,620 delivered its verdict last Saturday, October 15. The tournament brought together 339 players generating a prize pool of € 498,330. This time the trophy was awarded to the native of Quebec Philippe Boucher. This is his first WSOP bracelet and the champion also pocketed the sum of € 124,584. The event was attended by well known players, who managed to be in the list of money as Victor Ramdim, Richard Ashby, Roberto Romanello, Steve Billirakis, Carlos Mortensen and Nicolas Chouity. Among the representatives of France, Antony Lellouche, Ludovic Lacay, Jean Paul Pasqualini, Benjamin Pollack and John Nahum were also part of the 36 paid players. Note that the Portuguese Michel Dattani was the runner up of the tournament and won € 76,982 for his performance.
