LAPT Colombia: Menendez takes the title

After the Day 2 that was dominated by Stuart McDonald, the last day of the Latin American Poker Tour Columbia held in Medellin, in Allegre Casino ended with the victory of Julian Menendez. The $ 1,100 main event brought together 681 players during the day one. Participants were reduced to 330 players at the entrance of Day 2 during which we saw the leading of Stuart McDonald, winning more than 750,000 chips. But in the end, 9 players of the 28 survivals of Day 2 were qualified for the final : John Jairo, Stuart McDonald, Jonathan Monsalves, Julien Menendez, Victor Forero, Rafael Pardo, Jessica Bedoya, Alexis Gomez and Jonathan Markovitz, who respectively occupied the nine seats of the final table.

The first player to be eliminated from the final table was John Jairo. Jonathan Markovitz was the next on the list of eliminated followed shortly after by Rafael Pardo. There were only six players on the table and despite an aggressive poker played by McDonald, he still had to leave the table prematurely, taking however $ 87,129 of gain. The other players followed soon after and left then to the Colombian Jonathan Monsalves and the Argentinian Julian Menendez the head's up. The Argentinian took over his opponent and got the title of the final stage of the LAPT and $ 64,710 of gain.
