WSOPE: Michael Mizrachi and Tom Dwan in a good position for the title of the Event # 5

Poker fever continues to invade the poker room of Cannes Croisette casino during the World Series of Poker Europe 2011 (WSOPE). The Event # 5, a No Limit Hold'em (Split Format) of € 10,400 began and brought together a field of 125 players. This is the first tournament supposed to bring together top players and indeed, the big stars of poker such as Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Erik Seidel, Tony G, Carlos Mortensen and Viktor Blom participated in it. Note that the prize pool gathered for this tournament amounted to € 1.2 million and the top 16 competitors will have the opportunity to access the money list which minimum premium will amount € 26,831. The great lucky of the meeting will leave with a valuable bracelet and a prize of € 336,008.



The key event is now in its second day of competition. The Day 1 was closed after eight levels of play. Renowned players were effectively in the list of survivors. But Michael Mizrachi and Tom Dwan managed to climb in the leading pack of the race and are respectively in the second and 3rd place. Dennis Bjedal is the chipleader of the day with 153,700 chips in hand. Other pros of the game as Ken Kundmark, Brian Hastings, Freddy Deeb, Bruno Fitoussi and Erik Seidel are also in the top 10. But, the game is over for Fabrice Soulier, James Edge, Andy Frakenberger, Eugene Katchalov, Barry Greenstein and Marvin Rettenmaier.
