World Poker Tour: Already 10 years !
Poker has been highly publicized today with the presence of various live tournaments that are organized in the four corners of the globe. Among the must live tournaments currently on the international circuit, the World Poker Tour (WPT) is one of those tournaments that marked the poker world. Indeed, the World Poker Tour is the first poker tournament in the international level that is played in several stages throughout the world. Lauched early in the beginning of this new millennium, the WPT is currently in its tenth year and made the coronation of many professional players of different nationalities. Since 2002, the World Poker Tour Main Event were brodcast on Travel Channel in all countries of the world where online poker is legalized.
The World Poker Tour was the great meeting place for poker players and it didn't lose the good reputation expected since its creation. And competition on the international circuit became tougher with the arrival of the European Poker Tour. The WPT has been idle for several years with the advent of new technologies, new TV and new countries where the market of online gambling was legalized. For two years, the organizing committee brought great changes to reconquer players. Further changes were injected to the tournament in general : the Royal Flush Girls made their appearing in bringing a little spice to each event. Last September, the WPT Paris at the Aviation Club de France gave new life to the tournament by judging the quality of the organization and the importance of players who came to participate and the public who came to view it.
