WSOPE: Guillaume Humbert won the first bracelet

The start of the World Series Of Poker Europe Cannes (WSOPE) was held last Friday, October 7. The big poker festival started with the Event 1, which is a 6-max No Limit Hold'em of € 2,680. The tournament attracted 360 players generating a prize pool of € 864,000. The result of this inaugural tournament is already known. The first bracelet distributed as part of the edition 2011 has been awarded to the 26 years Swiss player, Guillaume Humbert. As reminder, he is already known in the world of online poker. Note that many notable players were seen in the poker room of the Hotel Majestic to compete for the title of this tournament like David Benyamine, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Freddy Deeb, Michel Abecassis, John Racener, Marvin Rettenmaier, Anton Wigg, Jason Mercier and Betrand Grospellier.

Guillaume Humbert dominated the party during the final table. However, Poker Brat, looking for his 12 th bracelet was also in the race. Unfortunately, he didn't succeed and had to settle for the 5th place. At the place of runner-up is the Japanese of 39 years, Azusa Maeda. And for French players, in addition to the feat of Adrian Allain, we can congratulate Alexander Salabschew who finished 8th, Bruno Benveniste (10th), David Benyamine (12 th) and Benjamin Pollack (13th) for their good result as well as Flavien Guenan who reached the 35th place during this competition. The Event 2 of € 1,090 buy-in has also begun.
