Poker Hall Of Fame 2011: The nominees were announced

The organizers of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced the qualified personalities who can have the chance to enter in the prestigious poker association Hall Of Fame which gathered renowned players and women players in the poker industry. Note that these people must meet several criteria to have a chance to be among the nominees. He or she should be a player who played poker during major competitions and has earned good results, be aged of 40 years or more, having played in high stakes tournaments, won the respect of his peers or be a person who contributed largely in the development of poker.

This year, 10 people were qualified following the public vote and following a selection conducted by the board of Poker Hall Of Fame. So there is Annie Duke, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman Traniello, Linda Johnson, John Juanda, Marcel Luske, Jack McClelland, Tom McEvoy, Scotty Nguyen and Huck Seed. They are all known by the public for their great feat. Indeed, most achieved good results in the WSOP and other major tournaments like the World Poker Tour. And some of them contributed to many charities such as Jennifer Harman and Barry Greenstein who is nicknamed "Robin Hood of Poker". This new list is already in the hands of the 18 members of the Hall Of Fame and 17 people from the media. The results indicate that one or two of the nominees will become members of the Hall of Fame and the induction will take place at the end of this month.
