International Poker Open: The final table on November 26

The month of November will be a month full of live poker tournament and especially the best event of major tournaments because the race for the title of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) will be played during that period. Indeed, the final tables of these two major titles will be held during the month of November as well as that of the International Poker Open, the tournament's most popular among amateur players in Europe. This No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament of € 225 buy-in will be held as usual in Dublin (Ireland) and was attended by over 1,300 players for a guaranteed prize of € 273,600. Of the 1,388 players who started the tour, eight players were qualified for the final table scheduled for November 26.

ISOP 2011: The other big poker event of Italy began this Saturday

After the stage of the European Poker Tour San Remo (EPT), poker enthusiasts will meet again in Italy at the end of this month of October 2011 for the Italian Series of Poker (ISOP). From October 29 to November 7, Casino Perla in Nova Gorica will receive the ISOP 2011, the first step of the second edition of this Italian circuit. The program of this tournament is very busy and will certainly please to fans of Italian and European poker. The tournament will be opened by a Deep Event of € 360 which will take place over three days for levels of 40 to 60 minutes. Poker Hall of Fame: Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson qualified

The naming of a few players and personalities in the poker world for the Poker Hall of Fame is published annually in before the World Series of Poker (WSOP). This year, they were 10 to be selected. Finally, it's Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson who will be admitted in this very select circle. Owner of three WSOP bracelets and two World Poker Tour trophy, Greenstein is also known by the public through his participation in televised tournaments cash game. Called "Robin Hood of Poker", Greenstein is also famous for his great generosity. He effectively gave all of his tournament winnings, about $ 7.5 million for charities. And finally, this professional of poker released the famous book “Ace On The River”. Moreover, he dedicated this book to all players who managed to eliminate him in the gaming tables.

Full Tilt Poker: Between termination of employees and poll of former players

The Full Tilt Poker series continues to feed the headlines of poker press with new information about this case. On the one hand, the interest of the Groupe Bernard Tapie (GBT) for this gambling portal seems to know some evolution, even if the technique it used lead to ask some questions and on the other hand, the former home parent and its subsidiaries that no longer turn, continue to leave their team of yesteryear. Indeed, in Dublin, the company Pocket Kings Ltd, a subsidiary of Full Tilt Poker based in Ireland and which was in charge of technology with which the site was working, the entity responsible of providing the software and the customer service site had to pay off its 180 employees. The dismissal was made on October 19 but it was announced that the company will go up to say goodbye to 250 employees.

“Cartes sur table”: The strategies of the world champion 2010 compiled in a book

Less than a year after his success at the World Series of Poker 2010 (WSOP), a global recognition in this domain of poker with a reward of $ 8.9 million, Jonathan Duhamel has just published a book. "Cartes sur table” (which means “Showdown") is the title that the Quebecers chose to summarize some basic poker strategies and techniques he reveals and which enabled him to win this tournament. EPT San Remo: Domination of McClung during the Day 4

On Tuesday, October 25, the fourth day of the European Poker Tour San Remo began with the 64 survivors from Day 3. After seven hours of play, many players have been ejected from the table and there were only 24 contenders for the EPT title. One of these 24 semi-finalists will then go with the bracelet and the prize of € 800,000 allocated for the winner. The Canadian Chris McClung is the chipleader at the entrance of Day 5 with a stack over 3 million chips (3,148,000) while the average is 1,046,000. This semi-final promises to be a day full of surprise and will see a great show as behind the Canadian, top players have been also qualified and can make a splash at the final table. The surprise of the fourth day's main event is the elimination of the November Nine Joseph Cheong, despite an impressive stack at the beginning of the game.

UKIPT Season 2: Sam Razavi as the best player of the season

The UK & Ireland Poker Tour is in Great Britain the tournament not to miss for professional players and those who follow poker tournaments. The organizers rewarded the best player of the season according to his classification and his performance during the season. For the UKIPT Season 2, Sam Razavi finished in the top of the standings with 240.35 points. A well deserved title for Razavi who made a remarkable performance during the season. Indeed, he won the UKIPT Cork by defeating a field of 602 players. At this stage, the British dominated the final table, pocketing € 71,000. The Irish David O'Connor and the German Martin Mulsow were ranked in the second and third place of the podium with gains of € 41,200 and € 25,200. During the stage in Manchester, Sam Razavi ended up in the 17th place against a 36th place in Edinburgh and 41st Nottingham.

Dreamstack tournament: Steven Moreau victorious in Cercle Clichy Montmartre

Steven Moreau won the title of the Dreamstack tournament of € 500 buy-in of the French gambling circle, Cercle Clichy Montmartre. With this new victory and his magnificent ranking at the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe Cannes (WSOPE), this poker player from Paris has just proved that he has talent for this game. Note that Steven Moreau was one of the semi-finalists of the WSOPE. So last weekend, in the poker room of this Parisian gaming circle, Moreau prove that he's the best by winning face to a field of 127 participants including top players and regulars like Antoine Saout, Lucille Cailly, Ronan Montfort, Fred Brunet who won the title of the European Deepstack Poker Championship in Dublin in 2010 and who finished 7th during this tournament.

WSOPC Hammond: Rob Chow won the title of Main Event

After four days of competition, the World Series of Poker Circuit Hammond (WSOPC) ended with the victory of Robert Chow. This stage of the tournament was an unprecedented success as its inaugural tournament, a No Limit Hold'em, gathered a record field of 3,001 players. During the main event, the success was also present because 1,615 participants paid the buy-in of $ 1,500 generating then a prize pool of $ 2.4 million. During the final day, 20 competitors were gathered in the poker room of Horseshoe Hammond casino with Eric Crain as chipleader. But after the final day, he had to settle for the 4th place with a prize of $ 139,815.

Partouche Poker Deepstack: Yavuz Kaya won the stage of Forges-les-Eaux

EPT San Remo: Christopher McClung as chipleader for the Day 4

The European Poker Tour San Remo (EPT) comes now in its fourth day of competition. It took only four levels of play of 75 minutes each for the 64 players who will compete on Day 4 to stand out during Day 3. The action and emotion were also present at that day of competition as the bubble burst. Note that the money list of the EPT San Remo 2011 has 128 players. And some poker pros and regulars of the circuit have been entitled to the reward like William Thorson, Toby Lewis or Shaun Deb who will no longer be part of the competitors for the title. Florida Poker Tour: The appointment of poker enthusiasts

Earlier this week, European poker enthusiasts met in the city of Costa Brava, Santa Susana (Spain) for four days of poker tournament during the Florida Poker Tour season 3. This poker event is held specifically at the Hotel Florida Park from Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28, during which, each day will be marked by an intensive tournament with on the program two Main Events and two Side Events. For this third meeting of poker enthusiasts the most exclusive in Europe, organizers expected to receive more than 400 participants but at the end, 342 players made the trip to compete in the first day of the Main Event with a starting stack of 20,000 chips and levels of 30 minutes each.

Online poker: The taxation on gross gaming revenue abandoned in France

As already announced, the French deputy Jean-François Lamour presented his Amendment No. 363 for the Finance Act 2012 in front of the French National Assembly and the Budget Minister, Valérie Pécresse. This amendment, for recall, has as target to modify the taxation system for online gambling including poker, which currently occupy most of the French market of online gambling. It thus provides a new tax with the change of the current tax set on the bet by a tax on Gross Gaming revenue. During the presentation of the amendment, the government appeared to be favorable to the taxation on the Gross Gaming revenue, the Minister of Budget, however, wanted to highlight three conditions : a clearer definition of the Gross Gaming revenue : "Is it with or without subscriptions and bonus ? ", find consistency with the tax treaty of European Union countries to prevent tax evasion and finally find a solution to the problem of taxation between online betting and live betting.

WSOPC Hammond: 20 survivors for the final of the Main Event

The Main Event of the World Series of Poker Hammond (WSOPC) started as announced on Friday, October 21 at Horseshoe Hammond with the registration of 912 players for the Day 1A. During the opening of the Main event, Paul Bianchi was at the top of the ranking in terms of number of chips with 358,500. Tom Luce and Eric Crain completed the podium of the first day with respectively a number of chips of 263,500 and 251,500. Among the survivors of Day 1A, we also note the presence of Josh Brikis (147,500), Dwyte Pilgrim (137,000), Kenny Nguyen (125,000), Chad Brown (87,000) and Mohsin Charania (51,800). On the second day, 703 players joined the poker room of Horseshoe Hammond in order to qualify for the Day 2 of the Main Event. The number of participants in these two entries generated a prize pool of $ 2,349,825 of which $ 393,584 will be offered for the winner.

Global Poker Index: Erik Seidel at the top of the ranking

The Global Poker Index (GPI) continues to inform, week by week, poker enthusiasts about the world rankings of the best poker players. And as after every major event, the list knows a significant change either in the top spot or in the the Top 300. Obviously, there are those who go back in this ranking and those experience an elimination from the rankings. After two weeks at the top of the ranking of the world's best players, Jason Mercier drop to fourth in the GPI standings, leaving the podium to Erik Seidel, Eugene Katchalov and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier. Indeed, Seidel is the current No. 1 of the world poker with a score of 2,586 while Jason Mercier has 2,390 points behind the French ElkY and his 2,477 points.

EPT San Remo: A real success once again

The main event of € 4,900 buy-in of the European Poker Tour San Remo (EPT) started effectively since a few days. Therefore, a field of 837 participants has been registered for this stage in Italy. Indeed, they were 359 players to take part in the Day 1A and 478 were registered for Day 1B. As it's a popular stop of the EPT, many top players were present in the starting field like Jennifer Harman, Victor Ramdim, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, John Duthie, Lex Veldhuis, Ludovic Lacay, Hugo Lemaire, Roger Hairabedian, Ilan Boujenah, Antony Lellouche and Arnaud Mattern. Unfortunately, most of these well known players have already left the game. Thus, among the 22 survivors of Day 1A, it's the local player Massimiliano Forti who is occupying the lead. However, some stars of the game have been able to resist including Marco Traniello, Kevin McPhee, Per Linde and Lex Veldhuis who managed to be in the top 10 of Day 1A.

WPT: In Mauritius from February 25 to March 4, 2012

The World Poker Tour (WPT) continues to conquer new destinations. Indeed, the tournament will stop for the first time in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius more precisely from February 25 to March 4, 2012. WSOPE: Elio Fox won the € 1,400,000 prize of the Main event

After 6 days of competition in the poker room of the Hotel Majestic Barrière in Cannes as part of the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe 2011(WSOPE), Elio Fox triumphed and won the famous prize of € 1,400,000 and a WSOP bracelet. It's the biggest gain ever given in a poker tournament held on the French territory. Note that this 25-year-old American from New York, was the chipleader of the final table of eight players during which Fox faced formidable opponents such as Shawn Buchanan who finished 6th in the race for the big trophy and the holder of triple crown Jake Cody who finished 7th.

Coupe des Nations: Members of the French team announced

The Coupe des Nations is a tournament having a Duplicate Poker format held during the World Championship of Poker, a new competition which will be held in London from November 17 to 20. As a reminder, 12 teams of 6 players will compete in this original championship. At this time, there remains only one month prior to the event. And it was announced that the Federation of Poker Players have already selected the players who will make up the French team. WSOP Circuit Hammond: Already five rings distributed

The eighth season of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) was effectively launched with the first two stages held in Louisiana and Indiana. Last week, the WSOPC made a stop in Chicago (Indiana) at the Horseshoe Hammond for its third step. Like all steps in the framework of the Season 8, the WSOP Circuit Hammond has 12 events with gold rings to the champion to win. Since its opening, the WSOP Circuit Hammond beat the record of registered participants in one day especially with the Event 1 (No-Limit Hold'em). Dream Poker Tour: The final in November

For passionate of poker and great escape, "Casinos Créateurs d'Emotions," the federation of 19 casinos in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean will organize in next November the grand final of Dream Poker Tour. The Grand Casino Cercle of Aix-les-Bains, in France will host on next November 12 and 13 a deepstack poker tournament with a guaranteed prizepool of € 300,000. WSOP Europe Main Event: Elio Fox leading for the final table

The Day 4 of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOP) Main Event closed with the participation of the 25 players who remained in the title race after four days of competition. After levels of a few hours, eight players received their ticket to the final table with Elio Fox as chip leader. The final table is then composed of the U.S. in the head with 3.99 million chips followed by Jake Cody (2,685,000) and Dermot Blain (2,405,000) for the top three. At the fourth place of the chip count before the final, there is Chris Moorman (2.23 million) followed closely by Brian Roberts (2,000,000), Max Silver (1,825,000), Moritz Kranich (1.66 million) and Shawn Buchanan (1,015,000). These finalists will meet this Thursday, October 20 at the Hotel Majestic in Cannes for the final battle with a bracelet and a prize of € 1,400,000 at the end.

Macau Poker Cup Championship: Raiden Kan won the title

The Grand Lisboa Casino welcomed last week the Macau Poker Cup Championship (MPCC). During the five days of the Main Event (October 12 to 16), 308 players were gathered at the Grand Lisboa Casino to compete for the title and a whopping $ 160,000 or HK $ 1.25 million. After the Day 3, 43 players were qualified for the next round to share the prize pool of HK $ 5,550,856. From this third day of the tournament, Raiden Kan took the lead in this poker tournament in terms of chip count and was well placed as the favorite of the tournament maintaining this leading position until the final table of the Main Event held during the afternoon of Sunday, October 16. At this final table, 9 players were qualified : Raiden Kan (1,237,000), Victor Chong (981,000), Sunny Jung (669,000), Seijiro Machi (616,000), Hung-sheng Lin (614,000), Yong Seng Lee (598,000), Richard Hu (566 000), Chang Huang Hau (466,000) and Charles Lam (360 000).

Online Poker: Towards a new tax law for France

Since the regulation of online gambling provided by the Act of May 12, 2010, taxation became the subject that comes up frequently inside debate whatsoever on the part of operators, regulator or the parliament. The tax on gambling and online poker will be soon debated in the French National Assembly in the budget 2012 of the Finance Act following the submission of Amendment No. 363 by the deputy Jean-François Lamour. This amendment already adopted by the Committee of Finance aims to modify the Act of May 12, 2010 which covers the replacement of the tax recovery on the bet by the tax on the gross gaming revenue (GGR), which is as reminder based on the bet of players and their earnings.

Latvian Poker Championship 2012: From December 5 to 12, 2011

The Poker Sports Federation of Latvia announces the holding of the tournament Latvian Poker Championship 2012. The event will run from December 5 to 12, 2011 in the poker room of Royal Casino, Hotel and Spa. This luxury establishment is also elected as host of major tournaments such as the Russian Poker Series, the Norwegian Championship, the Grand Series of Poker live tournament, the European Masters of Poker and the Unibet Poker Open to be held in November and December. The decision to hold this tournament before the end of 2011 is due to the fact that the organizers want to crown the champion before the new law on online gambling in the country to be applicable from the beginning of January 2012. Indeed, the Ministry of Finance in Latvia is actually working to make changes in the law on the market for online gambling that is, distribution of licenses for online gambling and online poker operators and the improving of supervisory methods.

Caesars Cup 2011: The trophy won by Team USA

Defeated in 2009, the U.S. team led by the great Phil Hellmuth took its revenge at the Caesars Cup 2011. Indeed, this poker tournament between the European team and the U.S. team gave its verdict on October 19 and crowned American players as champion. Note that Daniel Negreanu, Johnny Chan, Ben Lamb and Jason Mercier were the members of the team that achieve this feat. The Americans did a good run as well, which allowed them to win the trophy. During the head's up held prior the 4th day of the WSOPE Main event, Jason Mercier and Ben Lamb managed to evict Jake Cody and Tony G. The players began the confrontation with the same stack and the same hands.

WSOP Europe Day 3: Max Silver and Chris Moorman got a good start

The WSOP Europe in Cannes is currently in its fourth day of the main event. Of the 115 survivors of Day 3, 25 players got their ticket to qualify for the final during which only 8 players will be selected. At the end of Day 3 held this Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes, the British Max Silver collected the greatest number of chips with 1,780,000. Max Silver kept a low profile at the opening of this event but his experience on major tournaments opened him the door just before the final. Indeed, the Britain already won a Side Event of the EPT London and UKIPT Dublin. Chris Moorman is just behind him with 1,769,000 chips.

EPT San Remo: The Italian event to begin this Friday

From October 21 to 27, 2011, the European Poker Tour (EPT) will stop at San Remo in Italy. The poker room of the Casino San Remo will welcome then many guests in the field of poker. The tournament brought together 988 players during the season 7 and the champion Rupert Elder pocketed a nice gain of € 93,000 for his triumph. This year, a similar success can be expected especially since the time that the city became a must great poker destination. The main event of € 4,600 + € 300 buy-in will then begin on Friday, October 21 from 2:00 p.m. It will be played on two days and qualifying satellite tournaments allowing players to win tickets to the event will take place on October 20 and October 21. They will be available for € 500 + € 50 and € 200 + € 20 buy-in. Note that apart from the title and prize, the champion will get a precious bracelet offered by Shamballa Jewels.

Caesars Palace Poker Classic: Kick off of the 5th edition this Friday

The start of the 5th edition of the annual tournament Caesars Palace Poker Classic will be held this Friday. According to the director of the poker room of Caesars Palace, Andrew Rich, the tournament will be a great poker festival composed of 31 events and 10 of them will feature guaranteed prize pool. The main event will be held from November 4 to 7. It will be available for a buy-in of $ 1,100 and will have two Day 1. Each participant in the Main event will be entitled to 40,000 starting chips and will compete on playing level of 40 minutes each. The final table is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 7 with a level-playing of 60 minutes. Note that satellite tournaments qualifiers for this championship will be held on Thursday, November 3 at noon, at 3:00 p.m, 5:00 p.m and 9:00 p.m with an entry fee of $ 130. LAPT Colombia: Menendez takes the title

After the Day 2 that was dominated by Stuart McDonald, the last day of the Latin American Poker Tour Columbia held in Medellin, in Allegre Casino ended with the victory of Julian Menendez. The $ 1,100 main event brought together 681 players during the day one. Participants were reduced to 330 players at the entrance of Day 2 during which we saw the leading of Stuart McDonald, winning more than 750,000 chips. But in the end, 9 players of the 28 survivals of Day 2 were qualified for the final : John Jairo, Stuart McDonald, Jonathan Monsalves, Julien Menendez, Victor Forero, Rafael Pardo, Jessica Bedoya, Alexis Gomez and Jonathan Markovitz, who respectively occupied the nine seats of the final table.

Indeed, the captain of the European team recruited Antanas Guoga aka Tony G following the withdrawal at the last minute of Dario Minieri. As the U.S. team, the European selection is therefore strengthened by a new player well known on the international circuit. Last week, Phil Hellmuth, the captain of the US was forced to recruit Jason Mercier and Ben Lamb to replace Doyle Brunson and Huck Seed following their withdrawal also.

GUKPT Coventry: A beautiful third title for Julian Thew

After his victory at Plymouth in September 2007, in Brighton during the month of January 2008, Julian Thew has just won his third trophy in the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour (GUKPT) circuit. Indeed, Julian Thew won the GUKPT Coventry last night. The champion managed to oust the leader of the main event, Richard Trigg, when facing him during the final head's up and won during this event a prize of £ 42,740. Note that the GUKPT Coventry brought together a field of 145 players, most of whom paid the buy-in of $ 1,000 and other qualified in online poker room satellites. WSOPE: A bracelet for Michael Mizrachi and Philippe Boucher

The Event # 5, a No Limit Hold'em Split Format of € 10,400 which gathered 125 players had just crowned its champion in the person of Michael Mizrachi. This American poker player has thus gained his second bracelet with this victory in the poker room of the Casino Croisette of Cannes. LAPT Colombia Day 2: Stuart McDonald in the lead

The Colombian step of the Latin American Poker Tour Season 4 began last week at the famous Allegre casino of Medellin. At the opening day of this tournament, 681 participants joined the tables of Allegre Casino with only 101 survivors on Day 1A. WOSPE: 587 players registered for the Main Event

The start of the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe 2011 (WSOPE) took place this weekend. If during the last edition of London, the event attracted 346 participants, organizers managed to record a field of 587 players at this edition 2011. Indeed, 310 competitors made by several top players registered for the tournament in the poker room of Casino Barrière of Cannes to try to succeed James Edge, the winner of the previous edition on Day 1A. The day ended after six levels of play of 90 minutes each. And at the end of the competition, there were only 173 survivors for 2 days. Carlos Mortensen finished in the place of chipleader with 157,000 chips in hand. But all a team of great players are still part of the list of survivors like Johnny Chan, who is second with 150,000 chips in hand, Ben Lamb, John Duthie, Erik Seidel, Olivier Busquet, Phil Collins, Jennifer Harman, Jeff Lisandro and Scott Seiver. On the French side, Arnaud Mattern, Nicolas Levi and Quentin Ettlin are also well positioned for the rest of the tournament.

WSOPE Ladies Event: Victory of Barbara Martinez

During the WSOPE Ladies Event held this weekend in Cannes, poker players from all over France, Europe and even around the world agreed to meet at Casino Croisette of Cannes to compete for the title of the best woman poker player. This event of € 500 buy-in brought together 112 participants but in the end, it was the French Barbara Martinez who won. She got the victory over Eleanor Gudger and Magali Fabron. In all, Barbara Martinez won a gain of € 16,128. The Ladies Event of this French stage of the WSOPE was undoubtedly the one that received the best success if we consider the number of participants and the presence of big names in woman poker like Claire Renaut, Isabelle Mercier, Cathy Hong, Celine Bastian and Lucile Cailly.

Cτtes d'Armor: A tournament organized by the 22 Poker-club this October 30

The 22 Poker-club is a club of poker that was founded in last May in Ploumagoar, in the Cotes d'Armor department, in France. The club currently has 40 members and after five months of existence, its members have already been able to improve their performance and some are even willing to try their luck in big tournaments according to its leaders. Last Saturday, a dozen members of this club signed up for an official tournament held in Perros-Guirec. Note that poker games involving members are also held in the multipurpose room located near the town hall of Ploumagoar every Tuesday from 8:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m. On Sunday, 30 October, 22 Poker-club will host for its part its first open tournament scheduled to take place in the Hant-Per room. The field for this meeting will be limited to 50 players and now, 36 participants registered for the event, most of which are not members of the club.

WSOPE: Michael Mizrachi and Tom Dwan in a good position for the title of the Event # 5

Poker fever continues to invade the poker room of Cannes Croisette casino during the World Series of Poker Europe 2011 (WSOPE). The Event # 5, a No Limit Hold'em (Split Format) of € 10,400 began and brought together a field of 125 players. NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship: Cancellation of the tournament

After seven very successful editions, the edition 2012 of the tournament NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship will not happen. Caesars Cup 2011: The two teams are ready

The WSOP Europe currently taking place in Cannes is the rendezvous of all the world's best players. WSOPE Event 4: Tristan Wade signed his first WSOPE victory

The WSOP Europe are now at mid-term with the first three events completed at the Casino Barrière of Cannes Croisette, meetings marked by the victory of Guillaume Humbert in the No Limit Hold'em 6-max (Event 1) and Andrew Hinchinsen at the No Limit Hold'em (Event 2). Currently, the sixth day of this annual event was marked by the excellent performance of the French Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in No Limit Hold'em Shootout of € 3,200. ElkY has just had his ticket to the final of the WSOP Europe and ranks among the best players in the running for a WSOPE title. WSOPE: Steve Billirakis grants itself the title of the Event # 3

By defeating a field of 180 players during the tournament Pot Limit Omaha of € 5,300 buy-in of the World Series of Poker Europe Cannes (WSOPE), Steve Billirakis won his second bracelet and took home thanks to this victory the sum of € 238,140. The final table of the WSOPE Cannes Event # 3 received yet prominent players like Sam Trickett and Eoghan O'Dea but Billirakis led well his game and was able to dominate his opponents. WSOPE Event 2 NLH: Won by Andrew Hinrichsen

The No Limit Holdem, second Event of the WSOP Europe brought together 771 players at its opening. On the eve of the final of that event, the Italian Gianluca Speranza was estimated as the favorite by occupying the top of the chip count with 757,000 chips. After four days of play, nine players were qualified with Andrew Hinrichsen at the second place with 434,000 chips followed by Roberto Romanello (253,000), Eric Baudry (232,000), Bruno Tarcisio (153,500) and John Eames (106,500). Three French players were also qualified for the final: Nabil Nadjai (250,500), Gregory Lejolivet (95000) and Bernard Guigon (53,000). Roberto Romanello was a worthy opponent during Day 4 before falling at the third place in the chip count after the lost of stack of 450,000 chips before the end of the day.

WSOP Circuit: A third bracelet for Robert Castoire

The World Series of Poker Europe are currently the event of the year for poker enthusiasts of the Old Continent. But on the other side of the Atlantic, the World Series of Poker Circuit is the major tournament of this October. Last weekend and early this week, the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino Hotel hosted the WSOP-C for three days. 313 players responded to the call but at the end, it was Robert Castoire who emerged victorious face to the nine other finalists in this new stage : Aaron Massey, Mark Smith, Jacob Bazely, David Hengen, Thang Nguyen, Donovan Darland, Khang Luu and Sameer Al Dbhany. These two latter were the first eliminated from the final table followed by Bernard Lee in the eighth place. After having removed Bernard Lee, David Hengen were also defeated and Thang Nguyen follow him shortly after.

Native American Casino Poker Tour: The new event of Card Player Media

Card Player Media announced the organization of a new American poker tournament called Native American Casino Poker Tour. Taking place at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant (Oklahoma), the first step of the NACPT will be an opportunity for U.S. poker enthusiasts to compete in a new framework different of the major tournament available today. WSOPE Cannes: A record field for the Event # 2

If the verdict of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Event # 1 was already known, the Event # 2 is still played. This tournament which is a € 1,090 buy-in NL Hold'em registered a record field of 771 participants. Yet last year, the event gathered 608 players. According to this turnout, the French edition of the WSOPE promises to register an unprecedented success. Indeed, on Day 1A, 381 players joined the poker room of La Croisette while on day 1B, 390 players were present in the playroom. Thus, the event generated a total prize pool of € 740,160 which will let to provide to the champion a prize of € 148,032 in addition to the precious bracelet. For the runner up, a prize of € 91,261 is to win while for the place of bronze, the prize will reach € 67,280.

DeepStack Open Malta: Nicolai Kostakiss crowned champion

The poker tournament Open DeepStack Malta ended with the victory of Nicolai Kostakiss. This fourth stage of the edition 2011 brought together 343 participants. Note that the event offers to those who love playing deepstack poker the opportunity to participate in a quality tournament open with a modest buy-in of € 550. International Stadium Poker Tour: $ 10 million to pocket for the winner

EPT London: Benny Splinder's victory at the Main Event

The verdict finally fell at the main event of the European Poker Tour London (EPT). The title of this edition 2011 has been awarded to the German player Benny Splinder who had the privilege to go home with a gain of £ 750,000 thanks to his victory. After having defeated the final table's chipleader Martins Adeniyi at the 7 th place, Splinder dominated completely the game. He started the final duel between him and Steve O'Dwyer with a large advantage in number of chips because he detained a stack of 13.49 million chips against 7.145 million for his opponent. The battle was short and the German won without any problems the title of EPT London champion 2011. Note that Splinder already got good performances in the EPT circuit. He finished 12th duringt the edition 2009 and he was also ranked in the place of runner up at the € 25,000 High Roller of the EPT Grand Final.

WPT Marrakesh: The third edition will be held from November 24 to 27

This year 2011 is the third consecutive year that the World Poker Tour (WPT) will stop in Morocco. Indeed, the WPT Marrakesh will be held again from November 24 to 27 in the majestic Es Saadi Casino. WSOP Europe: Start of two weeks of intense poker in Cannes

For the first time in four years, the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) make a stopover in France. Created in 2007, this tournament is known as the largest live poker tournament in Europe and about the place that host this tournament, it crossed the Channel to reach the city of Cannes for this season 2011. The Croisette Casino Barrière will therefore receive for the first time the French stage, which begins on Friday, October 7 and will only end n October 20. During these two weeks of competition are planned 9 events and WSOP bracelets can be won during 7 events of them. Players expected to attend this event will compete for the title of the Side Event (October 7 to 15) and the Main Event (October 15 to 20) on a total of 75 tables.

Global Poker Index: Jason Mercier at the top, Phil Ivey out!

After the European Poker Tour London (EPT) that has just closed its doors with the victory of Benny Splinder at the Main Event, the ranking of the Global Poker Index (GPI) knew a new change. Erik Seidel who held the pole position for a few weeks had just exchanged his place with the other American Jason Mercier. So, he has taken the top spot thanks to a good performance at a side event of the EPT London: the 8-game. Thus, the ten top poker players in the world aare Jason Mercier (2,584 points), Erik Seidel (2,578), Bertrand Grospellier (2,486), Eugene Katchalov (2,473), Sorel Mizzi (2,344), Fabrice Soulier (2,280), Tom Marchese (2,075), Scott Seiver (2,056), Juha Helppi (2,004) and Shawn Buchanan (1,986). It was the only major change in this ranking because the next change on the classification is the thirteenth position with David Baker who won a place. On the French side, Hugo Lemaire and David Benyamine are now ranked in the Top 100 by being positioned respectively in the 58th (six seats won) and 75th place.

EPT London: Martins Adeniyi in a good position for the final table

After five days of competition at the Main Event of the European Poker Tour London (EPT), the final table competitors should be finally known. ANZPT Darwin: Aaron Benton chipleader at the start of Day 2

EPT London: The side events reveal their first winners

If the main event of the European Poker Tour London (EPT) is currently in its fourth day of competition, most of the side events have already crowned their champions. EMOP Barcelona: Won by Andreas Hagen

The penultimate stage of the European Masters of Poker (EMOP) was held in Spain at the Gran Casino of Barcelona. EPT Season 8: Shamballa Jewels bracelets of € 25,000 for the winner

EPT London: A lower turnout observed

The main event of the European Poker Tour London (EPT) began a few days ago and in total, 691 players registered to attend the event. PCA 2012: The Crazy Pineapple Poker as a novelty

USA : Bank account freeze and migration make the headlines

Big One for One Drop: Official launch of the $ 1 million buy-in tournament
