World Poker Tour Borgata: A field record of 1,313 participants

The World Poker Tour Borgata 2011 (WPT) recorded another field record of 1,313 participants during the main event of $ 3,500 buy-in. In fact, 853 players joined the poker room on Day 1B. Organizers therefore gather a prize pool of $ 4,332,900 of which $ 922,441 will be awarded to the champion, $ 554,303 for his runner-up and $ 335,433 for the player who will finish in the third place. The top 100 players in the game will be also entitled to a reward. At the end of Day 1B, therefore, there remained only 558 survivors and it was Jeff Madsen, who had the privilege to get the title of chipleader after having collected $ 216,625. His talents are known by the public through his exploits in various poker tournaments as his first place in the Borgata Winter Open in 2010.



Several top players signed up for Day 1B, and much of them won the ticket for the second day of competition. In the averages in the number of tokens, there is Carter Phillips, Kathy Liebert, Gavin Smith, Robert Mizrachi, David Williams, Matt Affleck, Hassan Habib, Maria Ho, Todd Terry and also Kevin Schaffel. The former WPT champions Victor Ramdim and Andy Frankenberger are also present. But the defending champion Dwyte Pilgrim, the famous Michael Mizrachi, Scott Seiver, Tony Dunst, Olivier Busquet, Allen Bari and Chino Rheem are already disqualified. During this 2 day, then, the chipleader of Day 1A Abe Korotkiwill be leading the pack with 260,100 chips in hand followed by Jeff Madsen.
