Poker winnings: Filippo Candio leads the Italian money list

Poker became since a few time a real social phenomenon in many countries and some players got rich without mentioning the reputations they acquired by winning titles in major tournaments. To rank players, the Global Poker Index (GPI) was established and get as reference their performance and the number of tournaments they participated during the season. Along with the GPI, there is also the "All Time Money List in Poker," an official list that classifies professional players according to their gains cashed in live tournaments. For the French ranking, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is placed on the pole position with a gain of $ 8.43 million, while in the Italian side, Filippo Candio leads with 3.40 million. Indeed Filippo Candio is still before Max Pescatori ($ 3,158,344), Salvatore Bonavena ($ 2,133,041), Alessio Isaia ($ 1,899,497) and Luca Pagano ($ 1,863,704) who closes the Top 5 of the Italian Money List in poker.

The Italian who did the most remarkable course this season is probably Dario Minieri who completed an astonishing rise in the standings by winning the prize money of the last three major tournaments. Indeed, Dario "supernova" Minieri finished in fifth place in the IPT Pro League of San Remo. This young player of 26 years was also well ranked during the NAPT Bounty Shootout of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. And now he stands at the sixth position with a gain of $ 1,856,098.
