WPT Borgata: Selbst and Failla in good positions in Atlantic City
After having missed access to the final table of the Partouche Poker Tour Cannes, the two U.S. players Vanessa Selbst and Will Failla took the road to Atlantic City to participate in the World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open (WPT). Indeed, the first competition day of the event has just ended and it was attended by 450 participants. Both players achieved a great feat at this Day 1A because if Will Failla managed to be on the 4 th position, Vanessa Selbt is second. So they will come back on Day 2 to play alongside the 243 other players qualified with Abe Korotki as chip leader and Darren Elias in the third position. Other talented competitors are also in the top 10 as Eric Salinas and Adam White.
Note that the Borgata Poker Open is one of the most popular WPT step because last year, a field of 1,042 players were recorded. The same success is expected for the edition 2011 because actually, the organizers believe attracting participants from 1,300 to 1,400 for the main event of $ 3,500 buy-in. And what could make such a success in this tournament is the possibility of eliminated players of the Day 1A to return on Day 1B. The presence of several top players in the poker room offered to the public an exceptional show. Some of them like Kenny Nguyen, Yegenjy Timoshenko, Allen Cunnungham, Jonathan Little, John Racener, Matt Glantz and Noah Schwartz were qualified for the Day 2. The Day 1B began on Tuesday at 11 a.m and as organizers announced, the WPT Borgata Poker Open will be broadcast in Live Streaming from September 23.
