Caesars Cup 2011: Hellmuth's team will face that of Elky

The Caesars Cup became a major event at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). This is a team tournament facing European and American players and takes place during the WSOP Europe. The tournament is divided into five heads'up parts. And the team that wins three games of 5 is declared winner. Last year the European team led by Annette Obrestad won the trophy against the U.S. team led by Daniel Negreanu. For the next edition of the WSOP Europe to be held in Cannes, Phil Hellmuth and Bertrand Grospellier were elected captains of the two teams that will compete on Oct. 19 in the poker room of the Casino Barrière Cannes, as part of the Caesars Cup 2011.

Phil Hellmuth revealed the profiles of player that could be part of his team. He think, for example, to rely on the extensive experience of Doyle Brunson who won ten victories in the WSOP in Las Vegas. And many other elite of American poker like Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, Erik Seidel, who just rise to the first place of the Global Poker Index, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Huck Seed, Tom Dwan, or make Ben Lamb are also among the potential candidates. As for the team of Bertrand "ElkY", no name has been disclosed at this time. But it is certain that players who will compose the European team led by the French number 1 will have the competence and performance to compete with the team of Phil Hellmuth.
