Epic Poker League: The second main event for Timex

The second main event of the Epic Poker League held at Palms Casino in Las Vegas ended last weekend with the victory of Mike "Timex" McDonald. The Canadian succeeds to American having Asian origin Chino Rheem, and won $ 782,410 in winnings. Compared to the first main event of last August, the second stage attracted fewer participants with only 97 against 137 entrants but all the biggest names in poker were present at this meeting in Las Vegas. The second main event was played in No Limit Hold'em 8-max (8 players per table) and at the final table of Saturday, September 10, we attended a party full of surprises with Erik Seidel, Fabrice Soulier, David Paul Steicke, Mike McDonald, Nam Thien, Isaac Baron, Sean Getzwiller and Dutch Boyd.

The first player eliminated from the final table was Dutch Boyd ($ 57,530) followed by Sean Getzwiller ($ 69,040). After several hours of fierce party, Isaac Baron ($ 92,050) and Thien Nam Le ($ 126,570) have also been "ejected" from the table and was followed by Erik Seidel after five hours of play. He was placed then at the fourth position with $ 184,100. The French Fabrice Soulier had to settle for a well deserved third place and $ 299,160. The last two players on the table were David Paul Steicke ($ 506,260) and Mike McDonald, but the latter won the game and pocketed at the same time $ 782,410.
