WPT Grand Prix de Paris: Matt Waxman won the title

The American Matt Waxman was the star of the final table of the Main Event Day 5 of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris and pocketed more than € 500,000 with the title of champion of this stage of the World Poker Tour held in the French capital. The Day 4 of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris was attended by the last 18 survivors of the tournament that ended up on two tables in the semifinals of this six - handed tournament to qualify for the final table of last Saturday, September 10. Participants were eliminated one by one and there were only Hugo Lemaire, Byron Kaverman, Mikko Sundell, Matt Waxman, Fred Magen and Martin Jacobson for the final table. The hope of the French public lied on Lemaire and Magen after the unfortunate elimination of Ness Kourdourli and Guillaume Darcourt.

During the final table of this tournament, poker enthusiasts who followed the event focused on Hugo Lemaire who held a good position according to his chip count at the end of Day 4. The young French was effectively ranked on the second position with 1.962 million chips behind Byron Kaverman who was the chip leader at the entrance of Day 5 with 2,079,000 chips. But after a few hours of games, Matt Waxman was the last on the table and took home € 518,750. Hugo Lemaire was second and won € 311,100 followed by the other French Fred Magen (€ 211,100), the final chipleader Byron Kaverman (€ 155,550), Mikko Sundell (€ 133,330) and finally Martin Jacobson (€ 88,900).
