WPT Grand Prix de Paris: 18 competitors qualified after the end of Day 3

The Day 3 of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris was closed with the American Matt Waxman in the top of the rankings. After three days of competition, players are currently in a few hours before the grand final of this poker tournament and its remains only 18 players for the semifinals. At the beginning of Day 3, they were still 61 to contest the 18 seats of the two tables in the semifinals. Mikko Sundell and two other French, Frank Pepe and Guillaume Darcourt who dominated the previous day as chip leader received their ticket for this penultimate round. Darcourt and Pepe are respectively in the 10th and 11th place in the chip count. In the top 3 of the chip count, we find Matthew Waxman with 1.12 million chips, Mikko Sundell, the chip leader of Day 1A with 1.019 million chips and finally Dimitry Stelmak with 918,000 chips.

The eliminated at the end of the third day are Max Silver, Benny Spindler, Heinz Kamutzki, Bjorn Artursson, Mario Puccini, Shawn Cunix... In the side of French players, Christophe Lesage (19th) was defeated from the final by Nesrine "Ness" Kourdourli who is qualified in the Top 5 with a chip count of 839,000. Despite the elimination of many French, the semi-finals will welcome however seven other French players in addition to Nesrine Kourdourli, Frank Pepe, and Guillaume Darcourt. A situation that could give rise to a great hope in the French side for the final. Indeed, only six of the 18 remaining players will be selected for the final of Friday 2:00 p.m at the poker room of the ACF.
