With the rise of poker in the international level and the growing interest of people for that game, it is actually part of more and more activities. Even if online poker is currently still on hold in the U.S.A, that does not stop humanitarian agencies to organize tournaments in order to raise money for charity. The Middletown Lions Club will receive on September 23 a charity poker tournament of Texas Hold-Em in Port Monmouth, New Jersey in order to raise funds for their programs and community charitable initiatives. Participants in this great event must pay a buy-in of $ 100 that can let them join a table with 2,000 chips. And for a reservation, players will receive 500 chips in more a,d a re-buy of only $ 50. This tournament will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $ 5,000 and a re-buy of $ 100 for the first round.

The Lions Club of Middletown is a volunteer organization working in the field of charity and funding of humanitarian program in the United States. Branch of Lions International, Lions Club of Middletown also works in community programs of health examinations especially in vision screening of the eye, improvement of vision and prevention of cataracts. With the organization of a charity poker tournament, the Middletown Lions Club expects to raise a fund to support their program but also to enable poker enthusiasts to live their passion for a good cause at this moment during which no law hasn't been yet enacted on the activities related to online poker.
