British Poker Awards 2011: This Saturday, September 3 at the Poker in the Park
This Saturday, September 3 will be an opportunity for poker enthusiasts to know the winners of the British Poker Awards 2011. The awards ceremony of the British Poker Awards will be held at Hanover Square in London as planned at the same time as the Poker in the Park. During this festival, organizers chose the comedian Lucy Porter to give the prize and it will begin at 3:00 p.m. The Poker in The Park is also an opportunity for amateurs to contribute to the cause of Peace and Sport with fundraising. Shirts of Arsenal and Barca autographed by the entire team will be sold during a charity auction. Peace and Sport Foundation is as reminder an association set up in 2007 by the world champion and Olympic medalist Joel Bouzou in order to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to integrate into society with sport.
The public was invited to vote since last week the Best International Player with as nominees Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Daniel Cates, Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Erik Seidel. Other awards from the British Poker Awards 2011 will be awarded this weekend: the Best Cash Player, the Best Mixed Game Player, the Best PLO Player, the Best Tournament Player, the Best Social Media User, the Best Blogger, the Best Online Player, The Best Poker League, the Best Poker Forum, the Best Contribution to Poker, the Poker Personality of the Year. And for the award of Player of the Year, the choice will be given to the jury.
