APPT Queenstown: The trophy won by Marcel Schreiner

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) held in the poker room of Skycity Queenstown Casino finally crowned its champion in the person of Marcel Schreiner, a young professional of poker of 22 years. With this prestigious title that he won, Schreiner could then pocket a gain of € 54,634. Even if the champion gained enough experience during his participation in the two editions of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and his appearances in various online poker tournaments, his course in the final of the APPT Queenstown was not easy The tournament field was made by the best local players. Note that the final table began on Sunday. Competitors give all the best of them to continue the race as long as possible. But after an hour, the champion of the APPT Sydney Grand Final 2010, Jonathan Karamalikis, was finally eliminated to rank at the 9th place.

Hugh Cohen, Xiao Dong Xia, Tom Grigg, Daniel Ladlaw and Carl Knox also joined the benches of eliminated players by finishing respectively at the 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th and 4th place. Some of them were victims of Schreiner's attacks like Tom Grigg and Carl Knox. John Waterman was awarded the third place with a premium of € 20,357. And after this elimination, Schreiner began a duel rich in action against Yates. He dominated the game despite some rather dangerous attacks made by Yates. And after around 180 hands, Schreiner became champion.
