Standards & Conduct Committee: Testing of Chino Rheem

The case Chino Rheem was during the last few weeks the subject of many debate and made the front page of poker news since the time that the Epic Poker League decided to exclude players who lack ethics to the game and undermines the integrity of the tournament. Winner of the Epic Poker League, Chino won a million dollars and has subsequently begun to repay his debts. But the amount gained in this tournament could not cover his multiple loans and generated some confusion among his creditors. The reason is that Chino Rheem around 50% of his gain in the latter Epic Poker League was already in stake and at the end, the player pocketed a few thousand dollars over a million dollars received. Indeed, Will Molson and a dozen other players said they were victims of the Asian-American player to having lent him money.

In the side of the Epic Poker League, the Standards & Conduct Committee in a statement said Chino Rheem will be tested against rules that govern the conduct of members of the league. The Standards and Conduct Committee has therefore recognized the good faith of Chino by paying most of his debts with money from the tournament but also maintained his testing until he repaid all his debts through the world tournaments in which he'll participate. The Standards and Conduct Committee also agreed that any breach of the rules of the competition will immediately lead to a suspension.
