Epic Poker League : Victory of David « Chino » Rheem

After his seventh position during the November Nine of the World Series of Poker 2008 and throned as winner of the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond of the same year, David « Chino » Rheem becomes famous once again by winning the Epic Poker League Main Event. It is about a fair victory if the presence of great players of poker during this final table of $20, 000 buy-in is concerned like Erik Seidel, the runner-up, Huck Seed, Jason Mercier or Gavin Smith. But unfortunately, his victory is subject of controversy and scandals. A week before his win, Will Molson, winner of the latest PCA High Roller was calling for Rheem’s dishonesty. According to him, Rheem borrowed money from him in oder to let him participate in the High Roller tournament of $ 10, 000 during the EPT London held on October 2010.

As he is a friend of Michael « The Grinder » Mizrachi, finalist of the November Nine, well-known and talented player in the poker community, David Chino did not have difficulty to convince him to give the requested money. Even if Chino was ranked third during this tournament which allowed him to earn $150,000, he never wanted to give Molson’s money back. Recently, other poker players bear witnesses of the same situation. Joseph « Subiime » Cheong for example was talking about having been victim of Rheem’s scam in which an amount of $40,000 was involved. These stories and witnesses justify that it is not the first time that Rheems is involved in scamming affair. Everybody in the poker community is now aware of this but anyway, this victory during the Epic Poker League allows him to go back with 1,000,000 $.
