Bertrand Grospellier: Still leading the Global Poker Index

On last August 4, the Federated Sports & Gaming updated the best professional poker players’ classification in live tournament. FS & G established the Global Poker index by taking into consideration three criteria : the results in live tournament during these last three years, the number of participation (more than 20 participations) and finally, the buy-in which is at least $ 1,500. Logically, recent tournaments give to players the best points and the highest ranking in the classification more than old events. According to this update, Bertrand « ElkY » Grospellier still remains at the first ranking of the best player in live tournaments, currently, if the above criteria are concerned. This French player gathers a total of 2,473. 13 points during the last 36 months or three years, far ahead of the American player Erik Seidel and his 2,457.36 points.

Bertrand « ElkY » Grospellier records more than $ 2 million during this current first season that allows him to maintain the first position of the best poker players in live tournaments. Another French player is listed on the Top 5, no one but Fabrice Soulier with his title as WSOP winner 2011. He collected a total of 2,193.58 points. In the Top 10, we can respectively see the names of ElkY (2,473.13), Erik Seidel (2,457.36), Jason Mercier (2,434.30), Eugene Katchalov (2,248.82), Fabrice Soulier (2,193.58), Samuel Stein (2,168.85), Sorel Mizzi (2,115.12), Tom Marchese (2,035.66), David « Bakes » Baker (2,027.31) and John Juanda (2,013.62).
