IPT San Remo: Luca Pagano crowned champion

The passage of the tournament Italian Poker Tour (IPT) in San Remo was a great success. There were 426 players who joined the poker room of Casino San Remo to take part in the tournament. After the third day of competition, the eight players who would fill the final table stood out. On the top of the list was the Romanian Dan Murariu who managed to collect the largest part of the stack amounting 3,021,000. Giovanni Bigoni, Fratello Matteo, Enzo Tommason, Vitalii Minakov, Matyas Poloche and Andrea Ventura were also qualified for this last round. But it must be said that Luca Pagano fight hard to defend the honor of his country and finally win the victory.

Pagano has already acquired the status of great player of poker after his third place at the European Poker Tour Barcelona (EPT) in 2004. He recorded 18 cashes in the EPT including 6 final tables. And do not forget his two cashes at the World Series Of Poker 2006 (WSOP) Las Vegas. But being champion of the IPT San Remo is his greatest achievement as a pro. Pagano effectively had a very little chance to win this battle because it was the chipleader of the day that he face during the final heads'up but that does not stop him to rise to the trophy. So he well deserved the first prize of € 210,000 that he comes to pocket. After the stop in the town of San Remo, the IPT give appointments to fans of the circuit in Nova Gorica to a new phase which will run from September 1st to 5th, 2011.
