British Poker Awards 2011: Start of the voting
The awards ceremony for the best poker players in the UK will take place during the fifth season of the London Poker in The Park, in London on September 3. There are several categories of prizes to be awarded to qualified players. And the public can already vote for the player of their choice. For the award of the best cash game player, the public can choose between JP Kelly, Richard Ashby, Roland de Wolfe, Sam Trickett and Andrew Moseley. For the title of Best Mixed Game Player, you will still find Richard Ashby who will compete against Matt Perin, James Dempsey, Phil Shaw and John Kabbaj. For the category of best PLO player, the nominees are Ashby, JP Kelly, John Shipley, Devilfish and Ben Grundy.
For the title of best tournament player, Jake Cody, Sam Trickett, Robert Romanello, John Eames and Chris Moorman will compete. In the category of best online poker player, there is always Richard Ashby, Chris Moorman, James Dempsey, Jake Cody and Dave Shallow. And in the field of best contribution to poker, John Duthie, Neil Channing, Mad Marty Wilson, Tony Kendall and Simon Trumper are among the nominees to compete to earn the title. The British Poker Awards 2011 will reward also the best international player. And among the elite of this card game nominated for the title are Phil Ivey, the famous Tom Dwan, Daniel Cates, the great Hellmuth who has just completed a major feat at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, Jason Mercier, the French number who realized of a superb victory in the WSOP Bertrand Grospellier and finally Erik Seidel.
