BPT Enghien-les-Bains 2011: The penultimate stage won by Claude Metais

On last Friday 22 to Sunday, July 24, was held at the Casino of Enghien-les-Bains the Barriere Poker Tour tournament before the latest of the circuit which will take place during the first weekend of August at Trouville, France. This poker appointment of BPT 2011 is part of the season 3 of the competition with as incentive the participation of nine finalists in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe in Cannes, this October. Thus, this event of last weekend saw the gathering of 179 players during the main tournament of € 1,500 buy-in. Confrontation between the registered players haven't been soft then because many French big names in poker took part in this event.

However, despite the presence of professional poker players of the Hexagon at this Barriere Poker Tour, none of them has been able to reach the final table of the competition. However, we note the name of Frank Pepe, WPT Amnéville finalist and that of Lucien Cohen, winner of the EPT Deauville among the nine survivors of the tournament. Moreover, it took 49 hours and 30 minutes to the nine finalist players to designate the name of the winner after the final head's up between the top two who were Lucien Cohen and Claude Metais, a party that lasted 90 minutes. The result of this final duel gave the advantage to Claude Metais. Thus he pocket an interesting gain of € 35,000 against a sum of € 30,000 for the runner-up of the event.
